This song is often part of worship at my church, and often plays in my head throughout the week. It is timeless, with such a simple melody — much like the hymns of old. The first verse of the song says, “Speak, O Lord, as we come to You, To receive the food of Your Holy Word. Take Your truth, plant it deep in us; Shape and fashion us in Your likeness…” And that is exactly the heart’s cry for every Christian … that He might plant His truth and His very life deep in us, making us more like Himself each day. I highly recommend listening to this song at your earliest opportunity!
